One of my favourite country roads in the valley is Arnold Road in Woodville. It's a short road that loops around connecting Bligh Road to the Black Rock Road. It runs along the base of the North Mountain and sees little traffic except for the few families who live along the road.
This stately home sits on 20 acres about halfway along the road. It faces south with long unobstructed views. It's extremely well constructed and well maintained. It's quite large but feels very cozy inside. It has 5 bedrooms, 2.5 baths plus a separate one bedroom apartment in the lower level. Off the kitchen is the livingroom and large bedroom with a high vaulted ceiling. Next to the bedroom is a home office and bathroom. Systems include 200 amp electrical, woodstove, drilled well and newly installed complete septic system. In 2014, the entire home was painted on the inside. In 2015, the upper foyer, hallway and bedrooms were recarpeted with a high quality carpet and the master bedroom had new hardwood flooring laid. It's flat but with it's south facing exposure fruit and grapes can also do well. Kentville is within 12 minutes. The University Town of Wolfville is 20 minutes away. The Bay of Fundy is just up over the mountain. Hiking and riding trails are at your doorstep.
